Services Available
I currently offer Myofascial Massage and Medical Massage, both of which may be augmented with Hot Stones or Ice Massage.

Cancellation
As a courtesy, in all cases, please provide at least 24 hours notice when canceling an appointment.

For those clients who repeatedly cancel with less than 24 hours notice, or who fail to show up without any notice, I reserve the right to charge a penalty of up to the value of the missed session, and/or to require a non-refundable deposit for any new appointments.

Health Status
Some conditions require modifications to massage therapy for the clients safety and well-being. It is essential to have accurate information regarding the clients health history, and it is the clients responsibility to provide information regarding any changes in health status.

If you, the client, are sick and/or contagious on the day of or before an appointment, please call to reschedule or discuss treatment options. Massage is not appropriate for people who are running a fever or are otherwise contagious. Unless previously approved by the therapist, showing up ill to an appointment will only result in the appointment being rescheduled and the client being sent home.

There is no penalty for rescheduling due to illness.

Timeliness
Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you arrive late, the appointment will still end at the scheduled time, and you will still be responsible for the full cost of the session. If 20 minutes have passed and I cannot reach you and you have not called, I will assume you are not coming, and I may leave the office.

Payment
Payment via cash, check or credit card is required at the time of your appointment. Paypal may also be possible, either by pre-arrangement or through the online booking process.

Scheduling
Appointments may be scheduled either in person, over the phone (919 923 3174), via email at
Deirdre@MoveBetterMassage.com , or you can make an appointment online.

Confidentiality
All personal information shared by the client is strictly confidential. No information from the client will be shared without their express written consent, unless compelled by law, as in the cases of subpoena or suspected child abuse.

Conduct
I believe strongly in behaving professionally and ethically. I hope that you will treat our sessions with similar respect, and refrain from disrespectful or abusive behavior, intoxication, drug use, or sexual advances. Engaging in any of these behaviors will cause the session to immediately end. Full payment will still be due.

If you, the client, feel I have breached an ethical boundary and are not comfortable discussing it with me, you are welcome to go to
www.bmbt.org to view the Practice Act, Rules and Regulations of the Board, and, if necessary, to lodge a complaint.

Coverage and Draping
The North Carolina Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy requires that the genital regions of both males and females be covered at all times. With the clients voluntary and informed consent, the draping may be temporarily moved to perform therapeutic work on the gluteal area.

Informed Consent
No work will be done without first being discussed with the client, including methods and areas of treatment, making any necessary modifications in accordance with client preferences, and finally receiving consent from the client to begin.
